Saint Francis, one of history’s most enthralling stories of a spiritual quest, is the center of a new project produced by Claudia Mori for Ciao Ragazzi Srl and directed by Liliana Cavani.
This two-episode mini-series focuses on three significant periods in Francis’ life, not only through the protagonist’s experiences but also through the life of his two closest friends: Clare and Elias.
Clare is well known for being a modern figure and for her courage, while Elias, who was a leading character inside the Franciscan movement, has been forgotten up until now and will be presented with all the richness of his tormented and complex life.
In this new production Francis is played by Mateusz Kosciukiewicz. The other members of the international cast are: Sara Serraiocco, Vincio Marchioni, Rutger Hauer, Giselda Volodi and Benjamin Sadler.
To be aired primetime on Rai Uno, December 8 and 9.
