Synopsis

This is the story of a short and very intense life. Rino Gaetano started auditioning in the seventies. He leads a carefree life. He meets Irene, a young woman from a wealthy family, and falls madly in love. He then meets Michele, an Italian professor, who’s got a passion for the underground theater. Rino’s fame skyrockets thanks to the song But the sky is always more blue. Life is great, and his only problem is his conflicting relationship with his father Domenico, who’s an old fashioned man. Meeting Chiara, a groupie, puts Rino’s relationship with Irene on the rocks. Rino takes part in the Sanremo singing competition with the song Gianna even if his doubts about his art are consuming him. He starts making terrible choices. In the eighties many things change. His father will be his last support just before his deadly car accident on June 2, 1981.
